Introduction

These terms cover the work we do for you and your use of our website. "We" and "us" means Yard Boss & Co (ABN 23 833 868 495), a family partnership run by Mark and Sonia Lewis out of Hastings, servicing the Mornington Peninsula. "You" means the customer.

By booking a job with us or using our website, you agree to these terms. If something here doesn't sit right, talk to us before you book.

Our Services

We do lawn mowing and garden care: mowing, edging, whipper snipping, hedge trimming, weeding, pruning, gutters, green waste removal and general garden maintenance. You can book a one-off job or a regular round, weekly, fortnightly or monthly. What's included in your job is whatever we agree in your quote.

Quotes

Quotes are free. We base them on the information you give us and, where needed, a look at the property. A quote is valid for 30 days and assumes the yard is roughly in the condition we were told about or saw. If we turn up and the job is bigger or different than expected, we'll talk to you and agree a new price before doing the extra work. We won't just do it and bill you.

Prices, GST and Payment

Our prices include GST. You can pay by bank transfer or by card through the secure payment link on your invoice. Unless we've agreed otherwise, payment is due within 7 days of the job. If an invoice is overdue we may hold off on further work until it's settled.

Deposit

We take a 20% deposit to lock in your booking. Your slot isn't confirmed until the deposit is paid, and the balance is due on completion.

Bookings, Cancellations and Rescheduling

We'll agree a day for your job when you book. Weather and things outside our control can move a job, and if that happens we'll let you know and sort a new time.

If you need to cancel or reschedule, let us know at least 48 hours beforehand. If you cancel with less notice than that, we may keep the deposit to cover the slot we held for you. For a regular round, you can pause or stop it by telling us before the next visit.

Access to Your Property

On the day, please make sure we can get safe access to the areas we're working on: gates unlocked, pets secured, and toys, hoses or furniture moved off the lawn. If we arrive and can't get access or can't work safely, we may need to reschedule, and a call-out fee may apply for a wasted trip.

Your Property and Hidden Objects

We take care with your place and clean up after ourselves. Lawns and gardens often hide things we can't see, like sprinkler heads, cables, pipes, rocks or pet mess. Please point out anything hidden before we start. We're not responsible for damage to hidden items we weren't told about and couldn't reasonably have seen, though we'll always take reasonable care.

Liability

We take reasonable care in everything we do. To the extent the law allows, our liability for any one job is limited to the cost of that job or re-doing the work. Nothing in these terms takes away any rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law, which always apply.

Photos of Our Work

We sometimes take before-and-after photos of a job. We'll always ask you first before using any photo that shows your property on our website or social media.

Our Website

Our website is here to give you information about what we do. The content, images and branding on it are ours, so please don't copy or reuse them without asking.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The current version is always the one on our website, and it applies from the date shown at the top.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.
