Pruning
Pruning done right keeps shrubs and small trees healthy and flowering, and stops them swallowing the path or the window. We cut back to the right points, take out the dead and crossing growth and shape things so they come back stronger next season.
What’s Included
Dead and crossing growth removed
Cut back to healthy points
Shaped for strong regrowth
Right cuts for natives, fruit trees and shrubs
Done at the right time of year
We take out the dead, damaged and crossing growth first, then shape for size and light. Roses, natives, fruit trees and hedging plants all get treated on their own terms. Prunings are cleared and taken away.
There's a difference between cutting a shrub smaller and pruning it. Hacked plants stress, sulk and stop flowering. Pruned ones come back fuller and bloom harder the next season.
We cut to the right points at the right time of year for the plant, and we're honest when something is better left until the season turns.
Timing matters more with pruning than any other job in the yard, so tell us what plants you have and we'll tell you when they should be done. The quote costs nothing and neither does the advice.
[How we work]
Getting started is simple
Send us a few details through the quote form and tell us roughly what the yard needs. Rather talk it through first? Call or text and we'll take it from there.
Step 1. Get in touch
Call, text or fill out the quote form. Tell us roughly what the yard needs and we'll take it from there.
Step 2. Free quote at your place
We come to you, walk the yard together and price it on the spot where we can. Then we lock in a time that suits you.
Step 3. Done, and kept that way
We turn up when we said, do the job properly and take the mess with us. And if you'd rather never think about the yard again, we'll set up a weekly, fortnightly or monthly round.

"We're Mark and Sonia and Yard Boss is ours. Send us a few details and we'll come and have a look."
